Kelly Osbourne, 39, has caused a stir online after praising the controversial weight loss drug Ozempic – while also saying that she personally believes the only people who disapprove of it are the people who can’t afford it. Yikes!

Although mom Sharon Osbourne, 71, has confessed to using weight loss injections such as Ozempic, which was first intended for diabetics before blowing up as a popular weight loss drug, she also issued warnings to fans about the dangers of it. However, Kelly still has nothing but praise for it!

Kelly Osbourne Praises Ozempic On The Red Carpet

While on the red carpet for Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala on January 30th, Kelly told E! News just how much she loved Ozempic. “I think it’s amazing,” she confessed. “There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something [that] isn’t as boring as working out?”

“People hate on it because they want to do it,” Kelly speculated. “And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or [expletive] off that they can’t afford it.” Shen added: “Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it actually works.”

As expected, her comments were met with some criticism online. Commenting on a Page Six article about her remarks, one reader said: "Ozempic is a drug that's used to control diabetes. Why would anyone take either if not needed. Especially after reading about the side effects." "I guess exercise and eating healthy is a no for Sharon & Kelly," added another. "Kelly seems a good example of Sharon's poor parenting," wrote a third reader, as a fourth simply said: "Kelly is a nasty piece of work."

"She should also praise plastic surgeons," quipped another reader, as another concurred: "She doesn't look like herself. Too much plastic surgery. But her terrible personality is still there. It's definitely an expensive drug. But daddy I'm sure pays for it. Never liked her."

Kelly Osbourne Shows Off Her Slim Figure On Her 39th Birthday

Back in November, Kelly showed off the results of her weight loss transformation when she celebrated her 39th birthday at West Hollywood's famous celebrity hangout, Craig's. All eyes were on the reality star as she showed off her svelte frame in a form-fitting, long-sleeved, white ankle-length dress.

She looked slim but also healthy and radiant, with her chic white frock hugging her curves perfectly. (No, we're still not over it!) The heart-shaped cut-out across her chest drew attention to her décolletage. To complete the look, Kelly stepped out in sleek, pointed-toe black pumps and carried a small clutch. Her purple locks cascaded in soft curls around her face, and her makeup included a subtle smokey eye and a stunning mauve lipstick color.

Kelly Osbourne Opens Up About Gastric Sleeve Surgery And Weight Loss

Kelly has admitted to going "a little too far" with her post-pregnancy weight loss after giving birth to her son, Sidney, in late 2022, on several occasions.

Having undergone gastric sleeve surgery in 2018, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has candidly shared her journey towards losing a remarkable 85lbs. Her honesty about this transformation was appreciated by many fans on social media after she discussed it on the podcast of Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay in September. "[I was] on a mission after having the baby to lose all [my] baby weight," Kelly shared. "Then I was like, 'Well, I lost all the baby weight. Let's see how far I can go with it.' And then went a little too far."

Sharing her one-year-old son with her partner, Sid Wilson of Slipknot, Kelly had already undergone significant weight loss surgery prior to becoming pregnant. In an interview on Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn in 2020, she openly admitted to the procedure.

"I had surgery," she revealed. "I did it, I'm proud of it… I did the gastric sleeve." She added: "All it does is change the shape of your stomach. I got that almost two years ago. I will never ever lie about it ever. It is the best thing I have ever done."

Kelly continued: "I want to be very clear about this kind of surgery I had. I didn't have a gastric bypass. The kind of surgery I had… if you don't work out and you don't eat right, you gain weight. All it does is move you in the right direction."

The television personality, who has previously been forthcoming about her struggles with addiction, went on to say: "What people don't realize is, it cuts out this hormone that if you have addiction issues, it stops your craving and it makes you not emotionally eat which is a huge problem for me."

Kelly has not only shed weight but has also undergone facial injections to improve her jaw's appearance, which had been affected by temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ). On Hollywood Raw, she also said: "One of the things they did to stop it was they gave me injections in my jaw. It kinda made my jaw look skinnier."

She added: "That's when people started to notice that I had really lost weight because it changed the shape of everything. I found out it's called buccal fat. It changed everything on my face! I was like, why did I not know about this sooner?"
