We’re always interested in seeing which Kardashian has a new look up her sleeve….however! We’re surprised at the latest ‘look’, as it’s coming from the sister who doesn’t traditionally color outside the lines very often. We’re talking about a new-doo from Miss. Kendall Jenner.
For a latest session with Garage Magazine, Jenner is spotted (and photographed) rocking long dark-brunette extensions that almost reach the floor. This Rapunzel inspired hair style, was created by stylist Evanie Frausto. Ensemble was crafted by fashion director Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, and the entire shoot was captured by photographer Campbell Addy . The overall photoshoot aesthetic was high-end couture with an element of surrealism. Not only was the hair bold, dark, and long, the semi-revealing attire and action shots (via hovering over the canvas’ white room) all helped deliver the theme.
Why is this so different for Miss. Jenner?
The Traditional Jenner
The Kardashian family is known for their bold styles - this is not necessarily the case for sister, Kendall Jenner. Keeping a pretty consistent look, we're used to seeing Jenner in a shoulder-length bob style. The color remaining a dark brunette - with the exception of her venture into a warm auburn look. It's very rare to see Jenner trying out anything new (whether through color or extensions).
Except when it comes to work! First, we saw Jenner go blonde last year for Burberry's Fashion Week (very short lived however). Now, we're seeing Jenner join the rest of her sisters in the extensions world... and we're loving it!
#Sistergoals?
Kendall Jenner has grown up in the spotlight and has remained consistent, the same can not be said about her sisters. From trying out bold colors like blue, pink, and green, to going platinum blonde with long extensions, both the Kardashian and Jenners aren't afraid to try new things.
Along with hair, these iconic beauty stars change up nails, and business ventures left and right... the same is not said of Kendall. She's happy and content looking a certain way and doing the work she loves - authentically herself.
Will her sisters inspire her to one day venture into the bold? Most likely not! We do however, forsee her career as a high-end supermodel creating fabulous looks for us to enjoy.
Bold in Other Ways
Kendall Jenner (we believe out of all the sisters) is the most bold when it comes to fashion, style, and revealing herself. Never afraid of 'showing a little nipple' or sheer anything, Jenner's style is pretty awesome. Her confidence in her sense of self exudes out of her imagery and social media presence... which is why we believe she makes a fantastic supermodel.
Our Thoughts on Kendall Jenner in Extensions
So, what do we think? Should Kendall Jenner join sisters like Kim and Khloe and keep the extensions for a while? Unfortunately the latest imagery shows she's already ditched the long threads - but we have to say we enjoyed seeing long hair on Kendall.
