Khloe Kardashian had a rough end to 2021 when news broke that baby daddy Tristan Thompson had cheated once again, this time fathering a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols. After a paternity test solidified the news earlier this week, sources close to Kardashian say the 37-year-old has moved on and is working towards healthy co-parenting with her former flame. However, the Good American founder recently took to Instagram to give some insight into her feelings on the affair.
In a since timed-out Instagram story posted last Thursday, Kardashian shared an image of a quote which read, “There’s going to be very painful moments in your life that will change your entire world in a matter of minutes.”

The quote continued, “These moments will change YOU. Let them make you stronger, smarter and kinder. But don’t you go and become someone that [you’re] not. Cry. Scream if you have to. Then you straighten out that crown and keep it moving.” Kardashian added a heart sticker to the post, evidently relating to the sentiment.
Earlier that day, Kardashian re-shared another post which read, “People showed you who they were this year. Don’t go into 2022 confused.” This image was also shared by her sister, Kim Kardashian, perhaps in solidarity or possibly in reference to her own 2021 divorce from Kanye West.

While Khloe has not publicly spoken out about the cheating scandal, Thompson’s most recent baby mama, Maralee Nichols has not strayed away from sharing her side of the story. “Tristan has not helped me financially with my pregnancy or with our baby. I have paid 100 percent for my son’s expenses. I did not ask Tristan for any money, nor did I accept any money that was offered to me,” she alleged in a statement after the news of her pregnancy was released.
Thompson has since released a groveling public apology to Khloe, writing on Instagram, “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
He then added, “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
