Every day brings about a new revelation into Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce, and now sources have revealed that their parenting styles are not as cohesive as was initially thought. While the divorce itself seems relatively amicable and drama free, it’s allegedly how the pair choose to parent their four children that has become a source of tension.

The former couple have agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their children, but sources close to Kardashian have revealed that she isn’t always thrilled with how her ex approaches his parenting duties. The source told People, “They have a different vision of the world and how their kids should be raised." They continued, “Kim will always support Kanye and his causes and encourage him with their kids, but her future with work, family and life in general are strictly up to her. She makes it happen."
The source went on to say, “Kim will continue with her projects and so will Kanye. What they want in life and for their kids doesn't always match." No other details surrounding their parenting styles have been released yet, so only time will tell how significantly different their values are.
Kardashian and West were married for nearly 7 years before splitting this past month amid a slew of controversy over the last year. West has been very public about his mental health struggles, but it was after his bid for Presidency in the 2020 election that things reportedly took a turn for the worse. Hopefully the divorce continues to stay amicable and the pair are able to put their differences aside when it comes down to raising their children.
