OMG! This is the reality TV crossover of our dreams. A clip of none other than Kim Kardashian making an appearance on MTV’s The Hills recently resurfaced, thanks to a TikTok posted by Spencer Pratt. Fans and pop culture lovers are obviously losing it over this rare footage, which is absolutely understandable.
In the unaired tidbit from this iconic show filmed back in 2007, viewers see Kim admiring Heidi Montag and Spencer’s jellyfish tank at a party. “We’re the only people in America to have jellyfish,” Heidi brags. (According to Spencer’s comments later on in the TikTok, they really were the only ones to have a jellyfish tank in their home at the time. Do we believe him, though? Who knows.) The Skims founder also discussed her plans to go to Las Vegas for Memorial Day. It’s certainly not the most riveting stuff, but there’s no denying it’s a pop culture relic.

“Kim K on #thehills #thespills i dont think this scene ever aired tho,” Spencer wrote in the caption. In the video, he even says “[Kim’s] publicist denied that she ever filmed on The Hills.” Looks like there’s no denying that now!
While there’s a lot to unpack here (Who knew Kim was friends with Heidi in the early 2000s, for example?! And why did her publicist deny the appearance??) the main subject fans seem to be focusing on is Kim’s changed appearance: “She looks so different!” Of course, that’s how aging works—the clip is 15 years old, after all—but the comments go on about her plastic surgery.
"Before all the surgery she did," one user wrote. One fan even got into specifics: "Her jawline and nose are totally different now. Never realised this before. Still pretty though." Others chimed in to stand up for Kim's right to alter her appearance as she pleases. "She’s had a lot of work done… and that’s ok," one comment says. All in all, though, there's no denying the plain truth: "Her choice, but she DOES look different."
Regardless of how much work Kim has had done, it sure is a special treat to take a trip back to the early aughts and uncover a cameo, even if her publicity team did try to bury it for some odd reason. One thing's for sure, as one fan commented: "Spencer always got the receipts." Amen.
