King Charles and other members of the royal family, like anyone, have their fair share of family photographs in their home and bedrooms. However, it looks like he’s had some evidence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s time in the UK removed from one of his homes.

After a royal photographer visited the king and queen’s Highgrove House, their home in the English countryside, taking photos of the momentos and framed pictures they keep in it, fans were quick to point out that a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was no longer there. The viral moment implied that the couple removed the estranged Duke and Duchess’ picture, which some royal commentators are describing as a “declaration of war.” Read more about the situation below.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Wedding Photo Appears To Be Missing From Highgrove House

Though there's a whole lot that the royal family does differently from typical families around the world, there's still a sense of tradition and 'normal' things here and there in their lives, including keeping some family photographs and mementos around them.

For instance, inside Highgrove House, the English countryside residence King Charles purchased in 1980 and shares with Queen Camilla, things are kept much more personal and comfortable than they would be in Buckingham Palace. Over the years, a few photographers have been welcomed inside to take pictures of it during events, noting the additions of more personal family memorabilia inside.

In 2024, an English media personality, Lydia Millen, took pictures of a cozy room in the Highgrove home, including a table with family photographs. In one corner was a picture of the family on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding day in 2018.

However, after royal photographer Chris Jackson was invited into the residence for a recent event, he took an image of the same table, where fans noticed that the wedding photo was missing. Though there was a picture of the king with his two sons, there was no evidence of Meghan.

Royal Commentator Says The Missing Photo Is 'Declaring War'

After Jackson shared his photo of the table at Highgrove, it didn't take long for royal family fans to notice that the wedding photograph from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's big day was missing.

In addition to some comments on social media, reporters and royal commentators began weighing in on the matter. It's no secret that Harry and Meghan have been estranged from the royal family, with their departure from the UK in 2020 causing a lot of tension. However, there were recent reports that the prince was trying to "reconcile" with his father and relatives, hoping to reunite with them at the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

But now, it looks like the missing photo might be a sign that things could be irreparable.

"Look, I mean, removing a royal photo in royal life is sort of a declaration of war, I would say," royal commentator Samara Gill told hosts on TalkTV, as reported by the Daily Express, noting the move was "subtle" yet "brutal."

"I think now, because of all the drama and chaos that they've been causing Charles, especially while he was battling with cancer, I think this is sort of the endgame now," she added.
