Meghan Markle is once again facing backlash after social media users accused her of copying her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is being slammed after posting a picture of herself wearing a low-back black swimsuit and baseball cap, which royal watchers instantly recognized as resembling one of the late Princess of Wales’ summertime looks. The former Suits star’s picture came in a carousel titled “Summer Holiday,” featuring images of herself, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet during their summer in the U.K. and Portugal. And before you ask, no pictures from the family’s reported reunion at Highgrove House with King Charles and Queen Camilla were included!

Meghan Markle Accused Of 'Cosplaying' Princess Diana With Her Black Bathing Suit
The carousel's most-talked-about image showed the As Ever founder at the beach, standing with her back to the camera in a black low-back Hunza G square neck swimsuit while watching Prince Harry and Prince Archie in the water. Critics quickly compared the look to one of Princess Diana's iconic beach outfits, claiming she was once again copying her late mother-in-law's style.
The post also included another beach photo of Meghan wearing a black dress and oversized sunhat while walking alongside Princess Lilibet, as well as pictures of the family at Althorp Estate, the ancestral home and final resting place of Princess Diana. One photo showed Harry, Archie, and Lilibet walking down a tree-lined path carrying large bouquets of flowers, leading many to believe they had visited Diana's grave on the island in the estate's Oval Lake.
Another picture showed Lilibet leaping into the air while in a swimming pool with her father. Other images in the carousel showed Archie inside a cockpit, Meghan relaxing on a sun lounger while gazing at her beagle, and more.

While there were many people who slammed the With Love, Meghan star, many others actually came to her defense, with some arguing she simply looked like any other mom with her kids, and others pointing out that a simple black low-back swimsuit is quite common. Others noted that nobody seems to turn against Kate Middleton when she channels the late Princess Diana's style...
"Meghan Markle is obsessed with cosplaying Diana," slammed one X user in the comments of a post with side-by-side images of Meghan and Princess Diana. "She is insane. Truly," echoed a second.
A third said: "Dear Meghan Markle, quit cosplaying Diana. You two are nothing alike." "It is really creepy," agreed a fourth, as a fifth said: "Ok... this is the creepiest I've seen her be with her cosplay! How does Harry not think so?!"
Others did seem to be on her side, though. "Leave her alone. Haters. Kate Middleton copies Diana all the time yet you never criticize her," observed one Instagram user.
"Leave her alone… get over it," agreed a second, as a third noted: "The Princess of Wales frequently dresses similarly to Diana and the press loves to point it out but always as a positive thing. The double standard continues. Also, it's a classic black bathing suit!"
"Catherine does it as well. Not one mean comment is made," concurred a fourth. "I guess every mom wearing a full piece bathing suit is copying Princess Diana," quipped a fifth, followed by four crying-laughing emojis, as a sixth said: "Enough of the hate reporting!
