Prince Andrew And Sarah Ferguson's Latest Involvement In Jeffrey Epstein Scandal
According to reports, Fergie's email read: "As you know I did not, absolutely not, say the P [pedophile] word about you… I know you feel hellaciously let down by me."
She went on: "And I must humbly apologize to you and your heart for that. You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family."
And just a few days later on September 26th, Prince Andrew's name appeared in newly-released Epstein flight logs, which listed the royal as a passenger on the financier's private jet in 2000 and also included financial notes about $200 "massage" payments.
King Charles Wants Prince Andrew And Sarah Ferguson To Skip Royal Family Christmas At Sandringham
According to reports, King Charles – who has now given up his yearslong quest to evict Prince Andrew from Royal Lodge and allowed him to stay – does not want to actually ban his younger brother from spending Christmas with the family at Sandringham, and would prefer if he came to the decision himself.
This is what happened last year, when the Duchess of York managed to convince him to stay away following the backlash surrounding his friendship with alleged Chinese spy, Yang Tengbo.
Tengbo, if you recall, was a businessman later banned from the U.K. on national security grounds, and was said to have become a close confidant of Prince Andrew and granted unusual access to royal circles.
Will Prince Andrew Do The 'Honorable' Thing And Stay Away?
"You can't sack someone from being your brother," a royal insider told the Times. "But this year," they went on, "if the duke and duchess were both to be as honorable [as last year] it would be very much for the best and the family would not be disappointed, not least to avoid the King having to make any more difficult decisions."
In other words, the Duke and Duchess of York should politely and pre-emptively explain that they don't want to attend Christmas at Sandringham before the King or possibly Prince William, who we know doesn't have a good relationship with his uncle, has to make things awkward and uninvite them!
King Charles Wants Prince Andrew To Be 'Invisible'
We don't think the King will allow Prince Andrew to attend events even behind-the-scenes after the latest Epstein drama. In fact, the Times reports that he wants his younger brother to be as "invisible" as possible, similar to Prince William's desires for him.
While the King won't go as far as banning his brother from attending important family occasions, he reportedly has made it clear that he wants him to do it discreetly, which Prince Andrew is not exactly known for.
"The King is not of the mind to banish someone worshipping at church or attending family occasions like a funeral. But he would hope they would find a more discreet way of attending these events," an insider reportedly told the Times. They added: "In the Duke of York's case, he seems to relish the prospect of not being low-key about it."
