Lara Trump turned heads during a recent visit to the Library of Congress, sharing a series of photos from the historic landmark on Instagram.
In the post, published on Friday, June 26, the former co-chair of the Republican National Committee looked polished in a crisp white midi dress featuring a flattering V-neckline and short sleeves, paired with white loafers accented with gold hardware. The sleeveless-inspired silhouette highlighted her toned arms—something followers have frequently commented on in recent months. She completed the look by wearing her blonde hair down in a sleek center part.

Lara Trump Wears White Midi Dress To Library of Congress
The photo carousel showed Lara touring the Library of Congress, admiring its ornate architecture, browsing exhibits, and learning about the institution’s history from guides during her visit.
Her latest post comes shortly after she made headlines for criticizing the recently opened Barack Obama Presidential Center during an appearance on Outnumbered.
“Yeah, the whole thing from start to finish has kind of been a disaster, right?” Lara said. “It’s ugly to look at, it’s over budget, the taxpayers are footing the bill, apparently, for parts of this, and then they had to open the ceremony with this performative morality, virtue signal.”
The mom of two then compared it to the future Donald Trump Presidential Library.
“When I think about what I would want a legacy as president to look like, I think about the Trump Presidential Library, which many people have probably seen the videos of,” she said. “It looks amazing. It’s going to be fantastic, down in Miami. Beautiful.”
Her comments quickly sparked backlash online.
“They are so jealous of Obama, it’s mind-boggling,” one user wrote on X.
Another commented, “They just sit on that network and say anything.”
“Their jealousy of the Obamas is glaring,” another person added.
An AI-generated Community Note attached to a viral clip of Lara’s remarks also challenged one of her claims, stating: “The Obama Presidential Center was funded entirely through private donations raised by The Barack Obama Foundation, which accumulated roughly $850 million for the campus.”

Lara Trump Slams OPC Opening In Chicago
Lara continued by questioning what visitors might see inside the Obama Presidential Center.
“But, you know, whenever I’m thinking about what might be in there, I wonder if the Obama library will highlight the way that Obama had people spy on Donald Trump as a civilian during the 2016 presidential campaign,” she said. “Or are they saving that for the Biden library when they talk about the weaponization of the Department of Justice to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president again?”
She concluded, “I’m just waiting to see what happens.”
The Obama Presidential Center officially opened to the public in June 2026 following years of planning, legal challenges, and construction delays. The approximately $850 million, 19-acre campus in Chicago’s Jackson Park includes a granite-clad museum tower, a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, the Home Court athletic facility, and a branch of the Chicago Public Library, serving as both a museum and community hub.
