A lash lift and tint is a cosmetic service which acts as a less damaging alternative to extensions. Instead of adding artificial length to your lashes, the process curls and darkens your existing set, acting as a perm for your eyes. While most lashes grow straight out, a lash lift will maintain a curled effect for weeks with no need for mascara or any other products. I decided to get an eyelash lift and tint because I don’t like spending the time to coat my lashes with mascara in the morning. I would always get some extra on my eyelid; now I only have to apply a small coat!
From the time that I arrived to the time I left, the whole process took only 45 minutes, but it could take up to an hour. The service cost $85 and I added a 20% tip which was definitely worth it. Overall, I would recommend it! It takes me less time to get ready in the morning and my eyelashes always look perfect even when I don’t add mascara.
I like to put a little mascara on just for added length and my lashes look best with a combination of the lift & tint and a small amount of mascara. My eyelashes are naturally very light so I think mascara just gives a little boost, but I feel confident even on the days that I forgo mascara, which was never an option for me before.
The lift and tint last between 6 and 8 weeks, and I do plan on getting them done again once they’ve grown out. It feels like a nice way to treat myself and relax. On the whole, I had an amazing experience! It was easy to relax, and even though my eyes are typically very sensitive to other people near them, I was very comfortable and it didn't bother me at all.
A lash lift and tint may be a great fit for your beauty routine if you're pleased with the length of your lashes, but are missing the volume. Unlike extensions, you can still apply a light coat of mascara, playing up what you already have for minimal maintenance at a much lower price point.
