5 Health Rules Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Follows After Turning Her Health Around: Sobriety, Lean Proteins, More

Lindsay Lohan is seemingly living her best life right now. She is a married woman, has an adorable baby boy named Luai, who she welcomed with husband Bader Shammas in July 2023, and her career seems to be going from strength to strength. 2024 is looking like a great year for her – and we’re only halfway through it!

The 37-year-old Mean Girls alum not only looks good these days (we will always be team red hair!) but she reportedly feels good too thanks to some improvements she made for her health. Take a look at some of the ways the actress improved her health to turn into the best version of herself below…

1. Cooking For Herself

It’s no secret that the Parent Trap alum is a great cook, and has regularly told fans how much she loves to be in the kitchen. That’s a great start!

She previously revealed on Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast that her grandmother is Italian and often cooked things like pasta and rice balls when she was growing up, and both she and her father have picked up on some of her great cooking skills

2. Eating Lean Proteins

According to EatThis, the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen actress incorporates a range of lean proteins into her diet, including eggs, chicken, and salmon. She does, however, also eat ham every now and again, perhaps around five times a month as per the 'Blue Zone' way of living.

For those not familiar, a typical Blue Zone diet is about 95% vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes. Those following a Blue Zone diet aren't totally vegan, but at the same time do not eat much meat, dairy, sugar, and processed food.

3. Eating Vegetables

You don't need us to tell you about all the benefits of filling your plate with healthy vegetables. According to Lindsay's past social media, she is a big fan of colorful vegetables and enormous salads, which no doubt do wonders for her health.

And if you hop onto her official website, you'll find a great pasta salad dressing in the 'Food' section, which we will no doubt be making on repeat. As per the website, the ingredients are: Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, vinegar, lemon juice, a dash of sugar, and salt and pepper. She also recommends adding chopped red and green peppers, chopped celery, and chopped parsley on top. Yum!

4. Treating Herself

Nobody likes to be restricted when it comes to diet – or anything for that matter. The Freaky Friday actress confessed that she does love to treat herself with comfort food and dessert when the mood strikes, which obviously seems to be working given how healthy and happy she looks. According to LiLo herself, she is a huge fan of chicken pot pie and ice cream. Who isn't?!

5. Sobriety

One thing the Irish Wish actress has cut out, however, is alcohol. She has regularly poked fun at herself on television and in interviews, which shows that she is a good sport about it, and doesn't seem to miss her alcohol binges. She previously said on Chelsea Lately, with a laugh: "I can't drink vodka. I wind up in rehab or jail." She added: "Rightfully so."
