You finally got the call for an interview at your dream job, congrats! Your excitement translates into training day and night over potential questions and practicing the perfect handshake. But, in order to absolutely nail your interview, you must also present yourslef as a professional.

Getting ready for an interview is one of the few times people put 100 percent effort in trying to not look like a slob (or at least I do). Trying to look as professional as possible for a job interview can be stressful. You want to look your best--definitely not like you’re about to run to the club afterward!
So, you found the perfect pantsuit that would make Hillary Clinton shed a tear of joy, and you’re feeling like a total girl boss. But when it comes to the makeup part of getting ready, your variety of lipsticks have you lost in a conundrum: what shade will compliment your professional wardrobe without being too overwhelming?
Put the red lipstick down and go for the nude-colored one. Neutral colors make your lips look natural but still give them that perfect pout you want. Try to use a shade that gives your lips a slight tint that makes them stand out more. Think of it as your lip color getting an upgrade, not a whole different shade.
Neutral colors with a hint of pink, brown, or coral are optimal, but make sure it’s not too light on your skin. And, I cannot emphasize this enough, don’t use lip gloss! Nothing is more unappealing than someone talking with sticky goop around their mouth; it’s distracting to the interviewer and will make you kiss goodbye to that dream job!
