Loeffler Randall launched its first-ever children’s line in a collaboration with J. Crew’s crewcuts this morning. And the collection is so good, they’ve decided to extend it to women’s sizes.

The Manhattan-based shoe brand teamed up with the retailer on a 7-piece capsule collection of sandals, denim and tops for spring that will take mother-daughter dressing to the next level–just in time for Mother’s Day.

crewcuts x Loeffler Randall by Clementine features vintage-inspired straight denim, a leopard tee, sparkly leather sandals and Grecian-style lace-ups co-designed Creative Director Jessie Randall’s 11-year-old daughter Clementine.

And that’s not all–not only are two of the shoe style from the children’s line are available in women’s sizes, but the brand will now be featured on J.Crew’s website under their “Brands We Love” section.

We caught up with Jessie to learn more about how this cool-girl line came to be:

SheFinds: What’s the inspiration for matching women and children’s sizes?

Jessie Randall: “We updated some of our classic LR styles—a pool slide and our Starla ankle tie sandals—with cute new twists for children’s sizes. We’ve been asked a lot over the years about making shoes for kids, so this was the perfect chance to make some favorites available for the first time!”

SF: Why choose J. Crew to work with, and what does it mean for the brand?

JR: “Working with J.Crew happened very naturally for us. A few of their team members were shopping at one of our sample sales, where Clementine was helping customers and giving lots of fashion advice. They were so impressed by her confidence and sense of style, they reached out to see if she’d be interested in designing a line together. This was such a dream opportunity for her and it has been so exciting to see it come together!”

SF: Why launch a children’s fashion line now?

JR: “We have so many loyal customers with children who have asked when we will offer children’s sizing. While it’s not feasible for us to offer children’s sizing on our own site yet, J.Crew has been an amazing partner and made it happen! The timing all worked out based on when they met Clem and we wanted to do something for the summer as it’s our favorite season. The sandals look so cute in kids sizes and comfy for little ones.”
