Is there anything to get you into the holiday spirit better than a great Black Friday sale? (That’s a rhetorical question!) While the jury is still out as to when it’s appropriate to start playing Christmas tunes (we’re in the ‘it’s never too early’ camp, FYI) we can all agree that it is never too soon to start marking down prices in the name of gift-shopping (even if the person you’re buying gifts for is yourself!) Madewell is one of our absolute favorite places to get great high-quality, versatile, year-round staples such as jeans, sweaters, and accessories in contemporary styles with a trend-focused touch. Although they don’t necessarily break the bank in the same way that high fashion pieces do, they are a little costlier than other high street items due to the top quality (we have a Madewell sweater in our closets that has been going strong for over ten years – and counting! – so that’s a testament to how hard-wearing the pieces are!) so we really appreciate sales, as we know that we will be getting the same top quality without paying full price. Every year, Madewell gives a discount of at least 30% off their products online and in stores, so we're hoping that this year is no exception.

To get a better idea of what will happen with this year's Black Friday sale, let's cast our minds back to last year's. In 2021, Madewell offered 30% off site and storewide with the code OHJOY (there was also 40% off some sale items!) with free shipping and free returns included with most online and store purchases!
When Is The Madewell Black Friday 2022 Sale
Black Friday is on Friday, November 25th 2022, although Madewell could follow in the footsteps of other retailers such as Zara and kick off the day before – or perhaps it could start even earlier! The sale could potentially kick off a week before Thanksgiving, so keep your eyes peeled around Thursday, November 17th. Madewell usually announces its Black Friday deals a week or so before Thanksgiving, so even if the sale doesn’t start straight away, you will know the exact date well in advance, to give you some time to prepare! We recommend stalking the website and even popping into stores to see what is currently available, and to get a better idea of what to look for during the sale. Every second counts during the sale! However, there are already some pretty exciting Black-Friday-rivalling sales on the Madewell website right this very second, and they are *not* to be sniffed at!

Too impatient to wait for Black Friday? We hear you! Luckily Madewell already has some pretty impressive sales right now, including an extra 30% off and extra 50% off select items, which are very helpfully laid out in their own categories. We do predict that these sales will disappear from the special sales event section once Black Friday starts though; and if they don’t, we expect that other shoppers will take advantage of the sales too, so we would recommend snapping the pieces you love up right now before they're gone forever!
