Author Accuses Meghan Markle of Copying
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's production company, Archewell Productions, was set to be involved with a new children's series, Pearl, that follows a young girl who learns to step into her power and finds inspiration from influential women throughout history.
However, a children's book series, called Pearl Power, has an eerily similar storyline. Author Mel Elliot said she wrote a letter to Archewell Productions accusing them of copyright infringement, but never heard back. Speaking to Daily Mail, she said "Meghan is a feminist who sticks up for other women, so I was disappointed and confused to see how similar Netflix's proposed show Pearl was to my own Pearl Power, which was created seven years earlier."
"Of course, I can't know if anyone one her team had seen it and been inspired by it, but the similarities were too great for me to ignore."

Social Media Reactions
This isn't the first time Meghan's struggled with copyright accusations. When her Netflix show With Love, Meghan came out, viewers immediately spotted similarities between her series and Pamela Anderson's series, Cooking With Love.
"Girl has never had an original thought in her life," one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
"Meghan will do anything but come up with her own ideas," another person agreed.
"Again?" a third asked. "You would think with how many time she's been accused of copying she would be a little more careful."
