Last month, just before Independence Day, Melania Trump visited a children's hospital in Washington D.C. dressed in a chic cream-colored midi skirt and a black and white polka dot blouse. She was armed with teddy bears and other gifts for the children, and asked some of them about their favorite foods, sports and music artists.
One child at the Children's National Hospital told her they thought Taylor Swift was the best singer, and the First Lady seemed to agree with them, saying that she thought the "Lavender Haze" singer was "very talented."
This is a stark contrast to the remarks her husband has made about the "Cruel Summer" singer, who publicly endorsed his opponent Kamala Harris in the last election. Back in May, he took to his Truth Social platform and said: "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?'"

Since it was revealed that the Euphoria alum was a registered Republican, Trump has made it very clear that he is a fan of her, her work, and even her controversial American Eagle ad campaign.
"She's a registered Republican? Oh, now I love her ad," Trump told a reporter. "You'd be surprised how many people are Republicans," he continued, adding: "That's one I wouldn't have known, but I'm glad you told me that."
He praised the Anyone But You star further on his Truth Social platform, and wrote: "Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the 'HOTTEST' ad out there. It's for American Eagle, and the jeans are 'flying off the shelves.' Go get 'em, Sydney!"
