Melania Trump made another public appearance this week, stepping out in North Carolina in a polished fall-inspired look as she visited students and highlighted educational technology.
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the first lady visited Mountain View Elementary School in Ashe County, North Carolina, nearly two years after Hurricane Helene devastated parts of Western North Carolina. Her visit focused on the community’s recovery as well as the role of technology and artificial intelligence in education.
For the occasion, the mom of one wore a figure-hugging white ribbed midi skirt with a matching long-sleeved sweater, layering an emerald green leather jacket over the ensemble. She completed the look with black Manolo Blahnik pumps and wore her hair in her signature center-parted waves.

Melania Trump Looks Chic During North Carolina School Visit
The outfit quickly drew attention on social media, with fans praising her appearance.
“Our gorgeous, courageous, thoughtful First Lady Melania Trump,” one person wrote on Instagram.

During her visit, Melania toured classrooms and observed students working with technology, including artificial intelligence and robotics.
The White House said she also highlighted the importance of keeping the United States at the forefront of AI development.
As part of her BE BEST Fostering the Future initiative, BE BEST, NVIDIA and StudyFetch announced educational resources for students in Ashe County.
According to the White House, 1,500 students will receive StudyFetch AI literacy training licenses, while schools in the district will receive 100 robotics learning kits powered by Jetson Nano.

The former model also spoke about the importance of preparing children to navigate a future increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
“I think they need to learn, we need to lead,” she said, while also emphasizing that young people should remain vigilant about the technology. “But this is our future. And we need to guide them and teach them what is available. If not, they will stay behind.”
The visit marked a return to Ashe County for Melania after her initial trip to the area following Hurricane Helene. This time, the White House framed the visit around the community’s recovery and its efforts to embrace new educational opportunities through AI and technology.
