Donald Trump’s “devoted” aide Natalie Harp accompanied the president during his two-day visit to Ireland on Sept. 12 and 13, joining him as he met with Irish leaders and attended the Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg.
Harp traveled as part of the official U.S. delegation and was among the White House staff members accompanying Trump throughout the trip. Trump was also joined by members of his family, including his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump and daughter-in-law Lara Trump. Reuters reported that Trump’s visit lasted 48 hours and included meetings in Dublin before he traveled to his golf resort in County Clare.

Natalie Harp Arrives In Ireland With Donald Trump, Melania Skips Trip
The 35-year-old arrived at Dublin Airport aboard Air Force One on Sept. 12 wearing an emerald-green, figure-hugging dress with long sleeves, a turtleneck neckline and a slit in the skirt. She paired the look with beige pumps and pearl earrings, while styling her hair in her signature updo with a side fringe.
She was also seen alongside Trump and other members of the delegation as they greeted Irish officials upon arriving in the country.
While several members of the Trump family accompanied the president, first lady Melania Trump did not make the trip. During remarks at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in Dublin, Trump addressed his wife’s absence, saying she was watching from home and had asked him to send her greetings.
“My wife is here in spirit,” Trump said. “She’s watching right now. She said, ‘Say hello,’ because she was very friendly with these two people. I said, ‘Well, why don’t you come with me?’ She said, ‘Well, it’s a seven-hour trip. Maybe I’m not that friendly.’”
The “two people” he mentioned were reportedly U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Edward Walsh and his wife.
Trump then joked, “Put on a Make America Great Again hat and come on. Let’s go,” before adding that Melania “sends her regards.”
Trump’s Ireland trip also drew attention for his comments on Irish reunification.
During a meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, he said he would “love to see it unified,” referring to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, while acknowledging that the United Kingdom would have a say in the matter.
Natalie Makes Headlines Over Notes Written To Donald Trump
Harp has recently attracted attention not only for her role in the Trump administration but also for her unusually close relationship with the president. Natalie joined Trump’s team full-time in 2022 and moved into the White House in 2025. She has also been closely involved in managing Trump’s Truth Social posts.
Her relationship with the president has drawn additional scrutiny following the publication of notes reportedly written by Harp in 2023. In the notes, she used intensely personal and devoted language when referring to Trump, calling him her “Guardian and Protector in this Life” and writing, “You are all that matters to me.”
She also expressed a desire to protect the Apprentice star from stress, writing that she wanted to “bring you joy” and hoped they could get through a day without having to discuss work.
