Mila Kunis just opened up about her “biggest parenting fail” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s “Mom Confessions” on October 19, and while she and husband Ashton Kutcher are largely aligned on all other aspects of raising their two children, the 38-year-old actress revealed this was not one of those moments. Spilling her response to her daughter, Wyatt, being pushed on the playground, Kunis had an unorthodox solution to the incident which drew a shocked reaction from her husband.

In a video clip from the show earlier this month, Kunis told a story in response to being asked about a parenting fail, detailing how her now 7-year-old daughter Wyatt came home from preschool one day and told her that she had been pushed on the playground. “I instinctually said, ‘Did you push her back?’ and my daughter’s like ‘No!’” Kunis said. “And I was like, ‘Push her back next time. You push her back and you say ‘No, thank you’ and you walk away.’”

However, Kutcher was apparently behind her the whole time, and when she turned around, Kunis said he shook his head in apparent disbelief of her advice. But the actress stuck to her guns, saying to Wyatt, “I was like, ‘Don’t push him off of a ladder or off of a swing or off of a slide. But if on the ground, even-steven, you push him back.’ I’d say that that’s a parenting fail.”

Kunis and Kutcher had jaws dropping earlier this year when they admitted that they only bathe their children when they “see dirt,” continuing the celebrity debate of how often you should truly be showering. The famous couple joined the ranks of Jake Gyllenhaal and Kristen Bell on the topic, even joking about it on social media.

“Here’s the thing, if you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point,” Kutcher told Dax Sheperd on an episode of his podcast, “Armchair Expert.” We’re not sure if we agree, but at least they’re on the same side of that debate…
