The singer-songwriter was recently honored during the season finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she received the Giving Us LifeTime Achievement Award for her career achievements and support for the LGBTQ+ community. For the occasion, she stunned in a skirt suit with a plunging, sultry top, joked about the character of Hannah Montana being a “drag queen,” and even made a touching speech dedicated to her younger self. The Disney alum has had a busy year, putting on one-night-only concerts, continuing to promote her latest album, and putting on an anniversary special for the show that was her breakthrough into the entertainment industry.
Additionally, she also returned to the show that has been dear to her heart for a few years, RuPaul's Drag Race, the competition series where drag queens compete to win each season by creating extravagant runway looks, getting through challenges, and more. Miley has been a longtime fan of the show, attending as a guest judge, audience member, and during last month's season 18 finale, was honored with a special award from the 'queen of drag' herself.
As she accepted the show's "Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award" for her advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community throughout her career, she wore a sultry black skirtsuit with a plunging, low-cut blazer with sequins on its lapel. The blazer cinched around her waist and was paired with a skintight black pencil skirt, which ended just above her knees. Her blonde-brown hair was worn in a teased and voluminous ponytail. During the finale, as RuPaul handed the 33-year-old her award, she cracked a few jokes as she accepted it, and even shared a brief message for her younger self as an old photo of her as a kid appeared on screen - a Drag Race finale tradition.
"Moments like this, to stand beside my idols and icons like Mother Ru, and get my flowers," she said. "But to also use my platform to serve this incredible community. Because I'm a drag queen and I love the idea of an alter-ego giving us power. My persona just performed in Paris with Beyoncé — she's my she-ro!"
As she stared at the younger photo of herself, asked to give her childhood self a message, she quoted her famous Disney character, stating, "Life's a climb, but the view is great."
Fans loved seeing Miley all glammed up on stage during the popular series' finale, and left many supportive messages in the comment sections on social media.
