Miley Cyrus Releases New Song And Poses In A Dramatic White Bodysuit For The Music Video
Although she already put out a new ninth studio album before the summer was over, Something Beautiful, the Disney alum has seemingly been nonstop these days, and just released a new single featuring some superstar musicians, as well as a dramatic music video to go along with it.
Her new song, "Secret," which is going on the deluxe version of Something Beautiful, was released today and features Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood from legendary rock band, Fleetwood Mac. The song is not about her love life or social life, but is actually what she calls a "peace offering" to her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, with whom she's reportedly been on the outs.
"This song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved," she explained on Instagram. "In my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same...This song is for my dad."
Along with the new song, she also released a new music video. In various scenes, she can be seen posing in a figure-hugging strapless white bodysuit. The suit was covered by massive layers of white tulle that poked out of the dress like wings. The suit was paired with a theatrical headpiece that included white feathers, and she paired the look with shimmery makeup.

Fans have been thinking about Miley recently, as aside from her latest new music and video, her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, decided he's ready to tie the knot with someone else. Miley and Liam famously met as costars in the romantic drama, The Last Song, in 2009. Afterward, they entered an on-and-off again relationship until they got engaged and married in 2018.
Unfortunately, they broke things off once again in 2019 and finalized their divorce in 2020. They eventually both moved on, and the Australian actor entered a relationship with model Gabriella Brooks in 2021. She confirmed they recently got engaged by sharing a picture of a large and shiny diamond ring on her finger on Instagram earlier this week.
While Miley hasn't specifically acknowledged her ex-husband's new fiancée, fans have been reassured that she's doing alright or, at the very least, focusing on her music, with her latest announcement. They took to her Instagram comments to show her support and cheer her on.
