The Office alum, 45, fondly remembered the time she cooked with Vice President Kamala Harris and joked about wanting to be an ambassador to Italy.

Soon after, fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts, with some noting they “didn’t recognize” Kaling at first, while others claimed that she had a “changed face.”

In her speech, Kaling made light-hearted references to her home state and the recent divorce news involving Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. "I love you Massachusetts! Everyone is always hating on us, but they just don't get it! Go Sox! Go Jayson Tatum! Ben Affleck, hang in there," the Never Have I Ever creator said. The Emmy winner continued: "Dunkin Donuts is the best coffee in the world!"
Although she has not commented on recent speculation regarding plastic surgery, Kaling has discussed her journey of weight loss transformation over the years in past conversations. In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kaling said that a significant factor in her noticeable weight loss was controlling portion sizes.
"I eat what I like to eat. If I do any kind of restrictive diet, it never really works for me. I just eat less of it," she said at the time. "I wish there was something more juicy or dynamic about the way that I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but that’s the way I’ve done it." She told the outlet that she dedicates "so much time and energy" to "trying to be healthy," adding, "I just tell myself I have to do basically 20 miles a week of either hiking or running. And so that’s been incredibly helpful to me."
In May 2022, the Tony winner explained to Today that integrating physical activity into a busy schedule is crucial. She emphasized the importance of even brief periods of exercise, such as walking for ten minutes intermittently throughout the day.
She admitted: "Sometimes I’ll be like, 'Well, I have four different times today where I have 10 minutes so let’s just walk instead of sitting down and checking Instagram.' So instead of it being like one chunk of exercise in the beginning of the day or none at all, I’m now just deciding that I’m going to be a more active person all the time."
