Taylor Swift made the soundtrack to 2020 with her surprise summer album Folklore. It was the cabin-created, cabin-fever dream we didn’t know we needed. It was enough to get us through the rest of this year—until she surprised the world with a SECOND album not even six months later: Evermore.
After the shock of having new T. Swift music to listen to, I was evermore shook when I saw the lace dress she wore in the music video for “Willow.”

The video starts where the “Cardigan” music video left off: Tay is sitting at her piano wearing a wet dress and cardigan. This time, there’s a gold string that refers back to her song “Invisible String” from Folklore.

Taylor follows this golden thread throughout the video, and we see flashbacks to kids that resemble her and her love interest in the video: Taeok Lee, who was a backup dancer during Taylor’s Red era.
The video is chock-full of references to past songs—Taylor is a true storyteller.

The video is also full of many looks—a witchy cloak, the "Cardigan" cardigan, and a cottage core-esque peasant dress at the end. But my favorite had to be the low-cut white lace dress that Taylor wears around the middle of the video.
Styled with a bejeweled headband, and her classic red lip, Taylor looked….dare I say….like a gorgeous bride?!

Taylor’s “Willow” video just premiered December 10th but already has over 22m views and counting. Like she she did with her “Cardigan” music video, Taylor also directed “Willow” herself. TBH, we’re just in awe of her!
After the big reveal on Instagram, Taylor explained that this album was her birthday present to her fans. The songstress just turned 31, and if the music she created this year is any indication, her 30’s are going to be her best years yet.
