Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson went all out when promoting Thor: Love and Thunder, as they channeled one of our favorite movie duos of all time. We are of course talking about high school besties Cher Horowitz and Dionne Davenport from Clueless, and their respective Dior and Oscar de la Renta outfits couldn’t have been a more perfect homage to the two characters!
The 41-year-old Oscar-winning actress breathed new life into Cher’s iconic black and yellow plaid mini skirt and blazer combo look (Cher’s was Dolce and Gabbana, FYI) as she teamed it with much edgier accessories, including a barely-there black crop top that flaunted her toned and enviable abs perfectly!

And the Black Swan star also left Cher’s knee-high white socks and white Mary Jane heels behind and swapped them for much edgier footwear – Doc Martens! We don’t know if Cher would approve, but we sure do! As does Dior, as the official Dior Instagram page commented on Natalie’s post of her and Tessa’s look, writing, “Cher and Dionne approved look for sure! Love this look on you, Natalie,” followed by a very apt yellow heart emoji. Original Cher actress Alicia Silverstone was also won over by the ladies’ looks, as she shared the post to her Instagram Story and wrote: “Stunning. You both look amazing.”
We’re equally as obsessed with Tessa’s Dionne-inspired look too, which consisted of a voluminous black puffball skirt and black vest, with a white blouse underneath. The 38-year-old Westworld star’s footwear was a lot more elegant than Natalie’s edgy Doc Martens, as she went for leg-elongating black heels instead, which she teamed with some simple black tights. We are obsessed, and will gladly sign any petition to remake the iconic movie with Natalie and Tessa in the respective roles of Cher and Dionne.
