Not long after filing for divorce from ex-husband Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman attended the same event as an old flame on the red carpet, and even ended up matching him.
The Australian actress recently attended this year’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where, while posing on the red carpet, she ended up matching with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, who was also in attendance. Though the former couple was both rocking sleek black outfits, they managed to avoid an awkward encounter at the film-based event, which might’ve been for the best, given everything Nicole’s been through this past year. This week, actors, actresses, directors, and more touched down in Las Vegas to attend this year's CinemaCon. The event gives fans and film enthusiasts the opportunity to listen to their favorite entertainment industry icons speak during panels, as well as get sneak peeks and insights into upcoming projects.
During this year's events, both the Babygirl actress and Top Gun star were in attendance, as they each have two big projects on the horizon. Nicole was there alongside Sandra Bullock to promote their Practical Magic sequel, and Tom attended with filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu to play a first look at their upcoming dark comedy Digger.
Ironically, the two exes ended up wearing matching outfits. The famous blonde stepped out in a stylish, almost witchy black dress with fluttery sleeves and a skirt with sheer fabric towards the bottom. Her blonde hair was worn down and slightly tousled as she rocked some curtain bangs. Tom had on an all-black tailored suit with a velvet jacket and black dress shoes.

Though they certainly crossed paths at this year's CinemaCon, neither fans nor media outlets were able to see if the famous exes ended up running into each other and chatting.
If they were strategic in avoiding each other, it may seem understandable to some longtime fans, as their divorce, which took place in 2001 after nearly 11 years of marriage, has not always been described as an easy or low-key experience.
"I think that divorce is hard for anyone," Nicole said in a 2001 interview, not long after it was revealed she and the action star were ending their relationship. "It's a nightmare, it just is, and you can pretend you're fine. And days you're great [and] days you're not great."
Still, that didn't stop fans of theirs from commenting on their matching looks on social media.
"Why are they wearing matching outfits??" asked a fan on X. "Hello!"
"Oh my god," added another.
"I need a pic of Tom and Nicole together," gushed an Instagram user.
