The daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian showed off the hairstyle in a series of TikTok videos, where she kept her trademark bright blue color while unveiling the sleek new cut. It’s unclear whether the look is a wig.
The aspiring artist paired the dramatic bob with her signature edgy aesthetic, wearing a black long-sleeve top with slit sleeves, a ruffled black skirt, knee-high belted sneakers, and a spiked necklace. She completed the look with full-glam makeup, leaning into the alternative style she’s become known for.

Fans quickly flooded social media with mixed reactions.
"Kim is letting this child grow up too fast. She wants North to be famous but she's doing it wrong, she'll be famous alright but not in a good way," one person wrote on Instagram. Kim Kardashian has previously defended North's bold fashion and beauty choices, saying her daughter isn't bothered by online criticism.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast in 2025, the Skims mogul said, "She's really mature in one sense, where she'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this, and I don't really care that they don't like... my blue hair or this or that.' She's really confident and is like, 'I probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people.'"
She echoed that sentiment in a joint interview with her All's Fair co-star Niecy Nash-Betts for Complex, recalling the backlash North received after dressing up with friends.

When criticism poured in online, the 45-year-old said North didn't understand the outrage.
"I mean, this whole thing about how horrible it is and it's disturbing," Kardashian recalled. "And she was like, 'I don't get it. It's like a Halloween costume. It's all fake.' So she takes my phone and she writes back to a comment and she goes, 'This is such a non-issue.'"
