Oprah Winfrey looked effortlessly polished as she reflected on some of the biggest moments of her career in a Vanity Fair interview published on July 21.
For the feature, the media mogul wore a tailored tan pantsuit consisting of a structured blazer and matching trousers layered over a soft beige top. She completed the sophisticated monochromatic look with gold jewelry and wore her hair in loose waves with a subtle side part.
To recreate her timeless style, fashion lovers can look to Veronica Beard’s Chandler Dickey Jacket in Ecru paired with the coordinating Cassidee Pants, both favorites among celebrities and members of the royal family.

Oprah Winfrey Looks Back At Her Interview With Meghan Markle & Prince Harry
During the interview, Oprah also revisited her headline-making 2021 interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the couple’s first major television appearance after stepping back as senior working royals and relocating to California.
“This had been postponed probably three times,” Oprah recalled. “Because this was 2021, and I was still in my crazy, ‘I can’t leave the house’ period, so I didn’t leave the house for 322 days.”
The producer explained that by the time the interview finally happened, both Harry and Meghan were ready to speak openly.
“They didn’t know, obviously, anything that I was going to ask them,” she said. “But I had said to them ahead of time, ‘I’m going to try to cover everything.'”
Looking back on the two-hour special, Oprah said her goal was to make the conversation fair.
“As is always the case for me, I wanted it to be a win-win for you,” she explained. “So I was just trying to carefully go through everything that had come up in the past.”
She also addressed one of the interview’s most talked-about exchanges, when she asked Meghan, “Were you silent, or were you silenced?”
“I wanted to be clear,” Oprah said. “Was she silenced? Were people telling her not to talk? That’s why I said that. I said it for clarification because I didn’t want later to hear, ‘Well, no, it wasn’t that. It really was that I was silenced. They wouldn’t let me talk.’ So it was all for clarification.”
The interview made global headlines after Harry and Meghan discussed Meghan’s mental health struggles, conversations within the royal family about their son Archie’s skin color, and their experiences with the institution.

Another added, “There was way more that needed clarification in that interview and yet we were left with a lot of implied references, half-truths and lies.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, writing, “Can’t admit that that was probably one of her worst interviews ever… nothing was clarified,” “Why now? She didn’t actually clarify anything,” “She lost me with that interview,” “Lost all respect for Oprah after this interview,” “Wow, she looks like she’s embarrassed about this interview and is backing out,” “Ridiculous interview,” and “She’s backtracking.”
