Piers Morgan has ruffled more than a few feathers online in the past year, with everything from him publicly dismissing Meghan Markle opening up about experiencing suicidal thoughts (which led to him leaving Good Morning Britain) to his praising of Joe Rogan after his baseless claims about COVID-19 vaccines became the center of controversy.
Now, the British television personality, 56, is garnering buzz on Twitter for his latest comments on Prince Harry, and as usual, Morgan didn’t hold back or filter his thoughts. In a promo for his upcoming TV show, Morgan dubbed the former royal a “po-faced, sanctimonious, virtue-signalling hypocrite,” before making more jabs at Markle as well.
Morgan is apparently pledging to cancel “cancel culture” and vows to “annoy all the right people” in Piers Morgan Uncensored, which will air on talkTV, a new global channel from Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. The presenter shared a clip of the upcoming series to his Twitter account last week, and captioned it, “He really is back. Piers on Prince Harry.”
He really is back.

Then, Morgan said he once liked the “old Prince Harry,” who he said “used to get drunk and play naked billiards in Vegas.” He continued, dubbing the younger, unmarried Harry to be “more fun” than “this po-faced, sanctimonious, virtue-signalling, hypocrite who just thinks it’s perfectly OK to quit the country, quit the Royal Family and then make all these demands from his California mansion about all the stuff he still thinks he’s entitled to.”
Morgan, who has never refrained from his disdain of Markle, then said, “he and his wife are making hundreds of millions of dollars out of fleecing titles bestowed on them by an institution they keep trashing in public.” He went on, concluding his thoughts in the clip, “I think it’s a sickening thing that they’re doing.I think it’s horrible for the Queen and I wish they would stop.”

In March of 2021, Morgan said on his show at the time that he “wouldn’t believe” Markle after she spoke of her mental health struggles and suicidal thoughts in the highly viewed tell-all interview with her husband and Oprah Winfrey. Many viewers (especially those who could relate to the struggles Markle opened up about) deemed his comments “insensitive,” “hateful” and “offensive” on social media soon after. Morgan then quit his Good Morning Britain position and returned to television this year.
Earlier last week, Morgan said he was “delighted” to be a part of live television again with his new daily show “whose main purpose is to cancel the cancel culture which has infected societies around the world.” He also indicated that he wants Piers Morgan Uncensored to allow “lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews,” and “that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun.” The new clip of Morgan’s show garnered mixed reactions online, as many of his social media posts, statements and comments often do.
