Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not be known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for long, according to a new interview with royal biographer Tom Bower and report from Geo News. Bower (who has written bestselling unauthorized biographies, like Rebel Prince about Prince Charles) sat down to discuss the Sussexes with Palace Confidential on Mailplus last week.

“They’re burning out their royal status pretty fast now. I think they’ll, in the end, have to give that up because it won’t wash well,” he said. Bower added that he believes Harry, 37, and Markle, 40 will have to part ways from their titles after exploiting them to stay relevant; “They can only do so by being sensational and by doing something. They are constantly searching for new things to do. But it always comes back to the royals,” he went on.

Bower also analyzed their recent actions and accused the couple of wanting photo-ops with Queen Elizabeth II, 95, and other plans, like Harry’s upcoming book, that Bower believes will not create any effects in their favor. “Whether it is flying back for the Jubilee so they might be photographed with the Queen – that went wrong.” Bower continued, “Or, alternatively, it is dumping on the Royal Family in Harry’s forthcoming book. But eventually, it is going to be a damp squib.”
