Contrary to earlier reports, Prince Harry did indeed fly to the U.K. for his uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral at St. Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk on August 29th.
While his appearance did some as a surprise to many royal fans, the fact that he and estranged older brother Prince William kept their distance during the funeral certainly didn’t, as their royal feud is still very much ongoing. The funeral was the first time the brothers were in the same room since King Charles’ coronation back in May 2023.

Prince Harry And Prince William Were Reportedly 'Keeping Their Distance' At The Funeral
"They arrived very discreetly," a source reportedly told The Sun, in reference to Prince William and Prince Harry's separate arrivals at the funeral.
"William and Harry were both there, but we never saw them speak to each other and they were keeping their distance," another funeral guest added.
The brothers avoided each other at the funeral and reportedly sat on different sides. However, Prince Harry still seemed to make a good impression at the funeral, according to insiders.
Prince Harry Was Reportedly On 'Remarkably Good Form'
"Most people were astounded that Harry came," an insider, who was one of the reported 300 funeral guests, told People. "He was on remarkably good form – and you could tell he was very pleased to see everybody. And he was very pleased that he had come over," the insider added.
This seems to coincide with what many royal authors and royal experts have been saying about the Duke of Sussex over the past year or so. If you'll recall, they have said that he misses his life in the U.K. and wants to make more visits, hence why he wanted to find his own permanent residence here.
He has temporarily put a stop to his house search until King Charles reinstates his security, which was taken away when he and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2020.
Prince Harry Is Reportedly Very Close To His Mother's Side Of The Family
The funeral took place just two days before the 27th anniversary of the late Princess Diana's death. And Prince Harry reportedly spent a lot of time talking to his late uncle's widow Lady Jane, Princess Diana's brother Charles Spencer, and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, among others, which royal experts were very happy with.
"I think it was lovely – and right – that he came and paid his respects," a royal insider said, according to People. "Given everything that has gone on with the family's health, I suspect he wants to spend time with people. He is very close to his mother's side of the family," they added.
According to reports, Prince Harry even stayed with his uncle Charles Spencer at Althorp House, the childhood home of the late Princess Diana. He usually stays in hotels when he visits the U.K. since being evicted from Frogmore Cottage.
