Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have fallen out of favor with many Americans because of their strong public criticisms of the Royal Family, according to political analysts, as reported by the Hindustan Times.

The outlet noted that Nile Gardiner, a political commentator affiliated with The Heritage Foundation, dished to GB News: “Harry and Meghan are viewed as just massive narcissists who spend all the time trashing the royal family. Most Americans really admire the royal family.”

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Slammed By Political Commentator For 'Alienating' Americans With Their Royal 'Attacks'

Gardiner went on: "The Queen was hugely popular with Americans, and they don't take kindly to attacks on the royal family... The royal family is very much loved in America." He continued, regarding the Duke of Sussex, 40, and Duchess, 43: "All these attacks from Harry and Meghan, they’ve gone down very badly in the United States. They have alienated most Americans."

Furthermore, when it comes to the former Suits actress, psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig shared with Fox News Digital: "Meghan's ultimate aim seems to be to make herself relevant and to transform herself into American royalty who is admired and powerful, independent of her husband."

On January 8, 2020, Harry and Markle revealed their choice to step away from their roles as senior members of the British royal family through an Instagram post. By March of that year, they completed their last official duties and relocated to California.

Their family grew with the arrival of their son, Prince Archie, in May 2019, followed by their daughter, Princess Lilibet, in June 2021.

According to another recent GB News report, legal experts have observed that US President-elect Donald Trump, after his election win, might opt not to expel Harry as a friendly gesture towards his father, King Charles, as reported by The Times of India.

Harry's revelation about his previous drug use in his memoir Spare has led to scrutiny over possible errors in his US visa application, which he filed when relocating to the United States in 2020.

Certain legal analysts suggest that these confessions might put Harry's American residency at risk, according to the publication.

The Heritage Foundation, a right-leaning policy research group located in Washington, DC, contends that Trump's immigration policies could enhance the likelihood of reviewing Harry's visa records, as per GB News.

As Gardiner also dished to the site: "President Trump is firmly committed to securing America’s borders and enforcing immigration laws fully."

However, Michael Wildes, a New York attorney who has worked with the Trump family, anticipates a more relaxed stance and thinks Trump, 78, could permit Harry to stay in the US as a gesture of goodwill towards his father, King Charles, 76.

"He could permit Harry to stay as a gesture of goodwill for King Charles," he said, emphasizing Trump's past subtle approach to managing prominent immigration cases.

Wildes explained that he has previously assisted Trump with delicate immigration issues and hinted that Trump might forgive Harry for any legal troubles at home. "He may pardon the prince for any domestic crimes. I've worked closely with Mr. Trump on delicate immigration issues, and he quite literally holds a 'Trump card' in these situations."

If Harry were to face deportation while on a visa, his time to exit the United States would be restricted. On the other hand, having a green card could provide him with more avenues to challenge the deportation process, the Times of India pointed out.
