Prince Harry may have recently flown to the U.K. to give evidence against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers earlier this month – and he may still attend the occasional red carpet appearance – but insiders say those moments are few and far between.
According to recent reports, the Duke of Sussex, 41, doesn’t actually go out much these days, and has yet to find a clear sense of purpose in the U.S., almost six years after relocating to California. Insiders claim that Prince Harry seems to spend most of his time at home in Montecito, where he lives with wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
Some reports have even gone so far as to describe Prince Harry as a “glorified house husband” who is increasingly playing second fiddle to the former Suits actress – ouch! Keep reading for more info…
Prince Harry Is Reportedly Living A Very Quiet Life In Montecito
These latest claims follow earlier reports suggesting the Spare author has struggled with loneliness and a lack of direction since moving to the U.S., with some sources believing he is happiest either back in the U.K. or while working on the Invictus Games.
"Harry's not really doing anything in America. I think he's banking on speaking engagements for income right now," an insider reportedly told Page Six, adding: "He seems very wrapped up in the past."
The same source hinted that while there have been rumors about new business ventures, nothing has truly taken off. This shouldn't surprise people too much given Prince Harry and Meghan's past professional ventures, and ongoing reports that people are getting "sick" of them.
"There have been rumors about a business, but its track record isn't great," the source continued. "He's really great at service – look at the success of his Invictus charity. He really should just stick with that."

Are Career Setbacks Fueling Prince Harry's Reclusive Lifestyle?
Speaking of charity, the report also comes amid fresh claims that Prince Harry and Meghan's Archewell Foundation – which was recently renamed and rebranded – is struggling behind the scenes.
"The big question was, would Archewell close, or would another charity take it over?" a second source told Page Six. They went on: "Harry and Meghan were looking to get a fiscal sponsor, someone to take on the outgoing costs and to keep things cheap. Really, it's all smoke and mirrors."
That same source added that Prince Harry, in particular, appears increasingly reclusive, and reportedly "rarely" leaves the house. "I don't think they leave the house much. Meghan does, maybe, but not so much Harry," they said.

Are Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Struggling?
Of course, the alleged Archewell problems are only the latest in a long list of professional setbacks for the couple, with more reports suggesting that they are feeling the pressure and struggling to keep up with their super-high mortgage and costly California lifestyle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's $100M Netflix deal has now ended after a string of flops, although they did sign a far less extensive agreement with the streaming giant last year.
That said, Netflix has failed to renew With Love, Meghan for a third season after mixed (but mostly negative) reviews, while their latest projects, including the Cookie Queens documentary about Girl Scouts selling cookies, isn't getting great press either following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival last week.
