Netflix’s Harry & Meghan docuseries was only the beginning of Prince Harry’s allegations about the royal family, as he dropped some truly shocking bombshells in his 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper that is set to air on CBS this Sunday – just two days prior to the release of his tell-all memoir Spare on January 10th.

Prince Harry Drops Bombshells About The Royal Family In 60 Minutes Interview
One of the most shocking things the 38-year-old dad-of-two said in the trailer for his first U.S. television interview to promote Spare was in reference to the royal family failing to respond to the endless false stories about him and his wife Meghan Markle, 41, telling Cooper that essentially, “silence is betrayal.”
In a trailer released by CBS, the Duke of Sussex says he wanted to keep his and Meghan’s life as private as possible like the rest of the royal family, but was actually forced to go public and tell his own side of the story because of the endless negative stories being “leaked” about him and his wife. “Every single time I’ve tried to do it privately there have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife,” he told Cooper. “You know, the family motto is ‘Never complain, never explain,’ but it’s just a motto,” he continued, before going on to suggest that many of the stories about him and Meghan were actually from the royal family themselves! Wow!

“At the bottom of a story they will say that they’ve reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment. But the whole story is Buckingham Palace commenting,” Prince Harry alleged. “When we’re being told for the last six years, ‘We can’t put a statement out to protect you.’ But you do it for other members of the family. It becomes — there becomes a point when silence is betrayal.”
Another very short teaser clip released by CBS shows Cooper asking the Duke of Sussex if he and the Duchess of Sussex are likely to return to senior royal life in the future – and he couldn’t have said “no” fast enough!
“Can you see a day when you would return as a full-time member of the Royal Family?

Fan Reactions To The 60 Minutes Teasers
The teasers haven’t been out for long, but social media is already exploding with reactions – and there are two very different opinions! “I hope he names names because the royal family is trash,” one Twitter user wrote as a comment to one of 60 Minutes’ teasers on the social media platform. “They expected Harry to allow his wife to be used as a scapegoat like he had been used,” wrote another. “I’ve gained more respect for him standing up against Racism,” commented another. “So brave of him to speak out. His aim is to try to prevent history from repeating itself. The treatment Meghan is experiencing is just what happened to his mom,” said another.
Many other Twitter users were less than thrilled with Prince Harry's interview! "Oh Harry. PLEASE go away. Live your life. Be happy. Stop assaulting your family, stop assaulting us and stop gaslighting," one Twitter user who does not appear to be a fan of the Sussexes wrote. "Oh yet another interview, for cash I dare say, and yet he wants the media to butt out! You really couldn’t make it up," quipped another. "Airing dirty laundry and embarrassing your family is an odd way of trying to get back into your dad and brother's good graces. Considering his wife only speaks to 1 of her many family members, the Spare should lean on someone else for family reconciliation advice," criticized another.
Prince Harry's 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper airs on CBS on Sunday, January 8th. His bombshell memoir Spare will be released on January 10th.
