One of the most talked-about things related to the royal family right now has been Prince Andrew‘s arrest due to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, which looks like his nephew, Prince William, saw coming.

A royal author recently reported that before his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away, he urged both her and his father, King Charles II, to “banish” Prince Andrew from the monarchy following an interview he gave in 2019. The famous interview went viral after he defended his relationship with the famous criminal, which allegedly had William fuming. Read more about the situation and what the prince wanted below.

Prince William Reportedly 'Urged' King Charles & Queen Elizabeth To 'Banish' Ex-Prince Andrew From The Royal Family In 2019

There have been many things going on in the lives of the royal family over the last few years, from the passing of the notorious Queen Elizabeth to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from their royal duties and lives in the UK.

However, due to new developments, one of the most headline-making issues within the family these days is the former Prince Andrew's relationship to Jeffrey Epstein, which he was called out for for years, but was more recently arrested for, following the latest release of the files. Though he had been seen with the disgraced financier in public, took photos with him, and more, the latest release of documents seemed especially incriminating, and he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office following years of being accused of also partaking in his trafficking and assault crimes.

After the arrest of the former prince, whose titles were taken away just a few months ago, members of the royal family have reportedly been very stressed, including Prince William, who allegedly tried to kick him out back in 2019, when he gave an interview defending his relationship with Jeffrey, stating he learned "useful" things from him and enjoyed staying in his New York City home for "convienence."

"William was absolutely adamant after seeing that BBC 'Newsnight' interview with his uncle and the disastrous explanations that he gave for being friends with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein," royal author Russell Myers reported to Us Weekly. "Refusing to apologize for his relationship and refusing to acknowledge the actual trauma of Epstein victims was an absolute red line for William."

Prince William Allegedly Wants Prince Andrew' Completely Out Of The Picture'

Even though it's quite clear that all members of the royal family are now distancing themselves from the 66-year-old, the royal author and other sources are reporting that the future king wanted him out for a long time, not just taking away his titles to make a public statement, but completely banishing him as a member of their family.

"He actually said to the late queen and his father [King Charles III], 'He has to be banished; Andrew has to be rid of both the public and the private royal family,'" the author told the above publication.

Myers also noted that after all he's observed within the royal family, if William were already king, he "would have taken certain measures to have Andrew completely out of the picture." However, he allegedly understands that King Charles needs to take "the lead," and he'll continue to support his decisions, no matter how fired up he feels about the entire situation.
