Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie aren’t the only ones who seemingly don’t want their mom, Sarah Ferguson, to publish her “nightmare” tell-all memoir.

According to reports, Prince William is also firmly against the publication of the book, which allegedly will air lots of “dirty secrets” about the royal family.

He has reportedly even gone as far as to issue the former Duchess of York with a firm warning to try to stop her from releasing it, fearing what it could do to the already-dwindling image of the royal family. Keep reading to find out more…

Prince William Isn't Happy That Fergie's Book Could Spill More Royal Family Secrets

Fergie's upcoming book is said to focus on her marriage to ex-Prince Andrew, while potentially revealing sensitive royal family secrets too.

This is not what Prince William or anyone else in the royal family wants, especially following the former Duke of York's arrest on his 66th birthday on February 19th, on suspicion of misconduct in public office during his time as a trade envoy.

According to Radar Online, an insider revealed that Prince William wants to stop the book from being published, and has made his position clear privately and firmly.

"William's view is extremely simple – he has said: 'Sarah needs to face the music.' That's the message that has been conveyed in no uncertain terms."

Prince William Doesn't Want The Book To Turn Into A 'Media Spectacle'

The source explained that the Prince of Wales strongly believes that the former Duchess of York shouldn't use her book as a platform to speculate about her ex-husband's actions, or drag other members of the royal family into the story.

If she wants to address serious issues, Prince William reportedly insists it must be done officially and legally...

"William's position is that if there are serious questions being raised, the only place they should be addressed is through the appropriate legal process," the insider said, before adding that he doesn't want things to go down the same route as Prince Harry's bombshell memoir, Spare. "He certainly does not think this is something that should be turned into a media spectacle."

'The Focus Should Be On Transparency And Accountability'

The source added that the future king feels the book should not serve as an opportunity for anyone to tell their version of events. Instead, the source said, "the focus should be on transparency and accountability, not on controlling the narrative."

"That's why he has been so clear behind the scenes that Sarah Ferguson needs to face the music," the insider continued.

The source reportedly claims that the Prince of Wales believes "the right course of action is for her to cooperate fully with whatever inquiries arise." This would therefore "allow the facts to come out through the proper channels, rather than trying to reshape public opinion through books, documentaries, or paid interviews."
