It’s long been assumed that any alleged tension stems Prince William’s lingering resentment towards Camilla, as he still sees her as the woman who had an affair with his father while he was married to his mother, Princess Diana.

In the clip from the Trumps’ state visit, Queen Camilla, dressed in a vibrant blue Fiona Clare dress with a matching Philip Treacy hat, appears to shoo the Princess of Wales away from a conversation outside Windsor Castle that also involved Melania Trump.
The Princess of Wales, who is wearing a striking burgundy Emilia Wickstead coat dress and a matching Jane Taylor London hat, and the First Lady, wearing a wide-brimmed purple hat and a dark Dior suit, seem engaged in friendly conversation – until the Queen Consort steps in and appears to usher Kate away.
The Princess of Wales dutifully complies, drifting towards Prince William, who is speaking with King Charles and President Trump.
