It’s no secret that Queen Camilla has King Charles‘ best interests at heart, which is why she has reportedly begged him to cut back on royal duties and focus on his health many times in recent years.

And according to new reports, the Queen Consort appears to also be playing referee within the royal family when she thinks someone’s overstepping – including none other than first in line to the throne, Prince William. Keep reading for more info…

Prince William Is Reportedly Creating 'Issues' In The Monarchy

Prince William is said to have big plans for the monarchy's future, which includes streamlining the working royals and removing Prince Harry and Prince Andrew's titles. And he apparently isn't waiting for the crown to make his opinions known!

But Queen Camilla reportedly isn't here for his power plays, and isn't afraid to remind him who's in charge. This is even more important because the actual monarch tends to be more lenient and forgiving – as evidenced by his willingness to welcome Prince Harry back into the fold and let Prince Andrew stay put at Royal Lodge.

Queen Camilla Has Reportedly Urged King Charles To 'Stop' Prince William's Behavior

Royal photographer Ian Pelham Turner claims Prince William is "trying to create issues" in the monarchy, perhaps by undermining his father's authority with certain things (maybe a reunion with Prince Harry?) but stepmother Queen Camilla is making sure King Charles nips it in the bud.

"Charles has great humanity. I think he just needed the corners smoothed out, and I think that's what Camilla has done more than anything," Turner reportedly told The Mirror US.

"There's nothing I can sort of prove, and say, 'This is the case.' But I get the feeling that [Camilla sees] William trying to create issues, and she's told Charles to stop it," he confirmed, before going on to say that he believes Charles and Camilla make a good team.

"I want Charles to have his time. In a lot of ways, he is a very good king. In his life now, with Camilla by his side, Camilla is a much stronger person, I think, for him."

Prince William And Queen Camilla's Reported Tensions

Queen Camilla and Prince William haven't had the smoothest relationship since she started dating his father, with Prince Harry revealing in his memoir Spare that neither he nor Prince William warmed to her in the beginning out of loyalty to their mother, the late Princess Diana. Prince Harry also wrote that his brother "long harbored suspicions about the Other Woman," in reference to Queen Camilla.

However, Prince William and Queen Camilla appear to be cordial now, though their different opinons and approaches to certain royal matters, such as Prince William's push for a slimmed-down monarchy, for example, may be making things awkward now. But a royal expert recently told Us Weekly that King Charles' health struggles (as well as Kate Middleton's similar health battle) have helped Prince William soften toward Camilla, especially as he sees the positive influence she has on his father.

"Camilla and Charles get on so well and laugh all the time… That's what William likes about Camilla. She warms his father up and brings out his human side," royal expert Christopher Andersen said a few months ago.
