In a bombshell portion of her book, the author explained that the monarch enjoyed doing a serious yet comical impersonation of the famous former model. Queen Elizabeth II Reportedly Made Fun Of Melania Trump While Impersonating Her
Right now, the world is reflecting on the life, challenges, and achievements of Queen Elizabeth II, as what would have been her 100th birthday was celebrated on April 21st, 2026. Though she passed away in 2022, both the royal family and people across the UK memorialized her and looked back on her impressive life through displays, exhibits, and more.
People are also remembering stories about the late Queen, especially ones from more intimate moments with her friends, family, and staff. Recently, renowned royal reporter and author, Susan Page, released a new book titled The Queen and Her Presidents, which explored Elizabeth's relationships and connections to the 13 American presidents she lived through.
In one chapter, Page dropped a bombshell story about the royal leader making fun of and impersonating Melania Trump during the first Trump administration.
Queen Elizabeth Was A 'Skilled Mimic,' Royal Author Reveals
There have certainly been a lot of people around the world who have gone viral for their impersonations of President Trump and First Lady Melania, but little did they know one of the most powerful women was doing an impression of her behind closed doors. The Queen, whom Page refers to as a "skilled mimic" in her book, allegedly would portray Melania as "silent and remote," and even compared her to a famous movie character played by a dramatic Hollywood silent film star, Greta Garbo.
"'I want to be alone,' she was said to have mischievously muttered, quoting Garbo's signature line from the 1932 movie Grand Hotel," wrote Page.
Although many consider it hilarious that Elizabeth would imitate the Slovenian native, Page noted in her book that it was not the first time she took jabs at a president's wife, and even did earlier impersonations of other famous first ladies throughout her time on the throne. For instance, she reportedly had a grand time doing an impression of Nancy Reagan, as Page wrote she was "spotted doing an impression of the First Lady, whose look of rapt adoration at her Ronnie was often mocked."
It is said that President Trump had great admiration for the late Queen, as many politicians did. However, we'll be curious to see if he catches word of these stories and potentially changes his tune.
