After all, emergencies can arise, you might have to work outside of your home or office, etc. If you do need to use public Wi-Fi, there are a few things you can do to keep yourself safe.
For starters, avoid using websites or platforms that have you access super personal and valuable information, just in case hackers are able to get into your device through the network. For instance, avoid entering your bank information or using a bank app. You should also stop yourself from online shopping if possible, so you don't have your bank or card information available.
If you can, you should also stay out of your email inbox if you have super-important, confidential emails coming in. If you have kids or have any sensitive information on your loved ones on your devices, avoid opening them on a public network.
