Reese Witherspoon continues to charm fans (and rock epic outfits) while on tour to promote her latest children’s book, Busy Betty. The Oscar winner, 46, stopped by The Tonight Show set in New York City this week to discuss her project with host Jimmy Fallon, and donned a stunning little black dress in the process.

Witherspoon looked radiant and was all smiles while telling Fallon, 48, about her new work, and the two played a comical game called, “What’s Behind Me?” before trying their hand at TikTok trends. Witherspoon rocked a glamorous, off-the-shoulder LBD by Alexander McQueen, which featured a thick, matching black belt cinched around her tiny waist. The curve-hugging item also had an elegant fit-and-flare skirt, and the Legally Blonde icon paired classic pointed-toe black pumps with it.

To complete her look, the Morning Show actress accessorized with shiny silver hoop earrings, and wore her signature long blonde tresses parted to the side and styled into loose waves. As for makeup, the Sweet Home Alabama alum went for a timeless, rosy smoky eye with blended eyeshadow, dark eyeliner, subtle mascara, glowing highlighter and blush on her cheekbones, and topped it all off with a glossy mauve lipstick color.

Witherspoon shared her outfit from the evening in two posts for her 28.4 million Instagram followers, and thousands left heart-eyes, red hearts and fire emojis in her comment section to convey their thoughts. The author’s new book, Busy Betty, was “inspired by her younger self,” as Witherspoon revealed, and she recently told fans that she put her “heart and soul into creating this spirited little character.”

The story, according to Penguin Random House, is about a young girl who “has big plans and an even bigger heart,” and manages to make a “mess into a success,” teaching children the importance of an optimistic mindset and hard work. Ultimately, Witherspoon manages to do it all— wow us with her acting performances, inspire young readers and give us major style inspo all the while!
