On Saturday, September 27th, the 61-year-old actor made a special appearance at the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland, which has been in full swing since last Thursday. Not only was he there for an official festival screening of his latest film, Nuremberg, but he also got to accept the Golden Eye Award for Lifetime Achievement, which honored his impressive career.
On stage, the actor wore a navy blue suit with a white button-down shirt and a green tie. He made a touching speech about his experiences as an evolving performer and about how much he values his audience's point of view when he's making new movies, which was a testament to his dedication to his craft.
"Ultimately, when I go to work, I take your expectations as an audience with me, because I want to touch your heart," he said on stage. "I want to open your mind...I want to celebrate humanity with you and for you. You are the reason I go to work."
