Sarah Jessica Parker expressed her perplexity regarding the cultural significance attached to aging in a new interview, and made it clear that she has no intention of resorting to botox. The accomplished actress, who is now 58 years old, highlighted the double standards that prevail in the entertainment industry and raised the valid point of why men are not subjected to the same scrutiny regarding their age as women.
Sitting down with The Telegraph, the And Just Like That star said: “I am so confused by the fact that the majority of men my age are simply never asked about aging.” She added: “We all wake up, have a million things going on, and just need to get on with our days – I just don’t understand the emphasis that is placed on the pondering of aging.”
The Sex And The City alum — who has been praised for her natural beauty and pro-aging mindset by fans in the past few years — also shared with the outlet that she does not intend to have botox as she believes it may have adverse effects on her acting profession. “I’m an actor – I have to move my eyebrows. I’m meant to be sharing emotions and communicating with my face.”

The Hocus Pocus star also sweetly shared that she thinks her husband of 26 years, Matthew Broderick loves her au naturel beauty and understands why she doesn't want to undergo botox injections.
As for her "secret" to continually looking stunning and radiant in her late 50s, Parker has previously divulged that her top three go-to beauty products include a serum, eye balm, and SPF from Roc's Revive + Glow line.
In an interview with WWD back in August, Parker revealed: "What works for me has worked for a lot of women for decades at an affordable price point. Skincare isn't this thing just for the rarified, like "I can't touch it or I have to mortgage my house to pay for it." That's complicated, that's confusing, those 10 to 15 steps." She went on: "I don't know people in the real world that have time for it."
Parker has recently teamed up with Roc Skincare for their Look Forward Project, an initiative aimed at promoting positivity towards aging. She expressed her satisfaction in working with a skincare brand that does not prioritize chasing after youthful-looking skin.
She told WWD at the time: "I'm probably less concerned about [aging] than I was a year ago." The mom of three continued: "I just don't summon the time and energy to be worried, and to hear a large skin care line say, "we don't want you to, we're not going to pretend that we're changing this process of waking up another day," the relationship has been affirming, and it's given me what I need."
Parker is presently appearing in the And Just Like That sequel series of Sex and the City, which has been confirmed for a third season. The show regularly includes storylines and plots that promote the idea of aging gracefully, resonating with viewers in the same age bracket as Parker and her co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
