Savannah Guthrie may have gotten divorced over a decade ago and has been remarried since, but the newscaster is still healing from her 2009 breakup from Mark Orchard. Appearing on Monica Lewinsky’s podcast, Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky, she shared details on that era of her life and how she got through the divorce. Keep reading for more information.
Savannah Guthrie's Divorce From Mark Orchard
Mark Orchard, who was also a news anchor, met Savannah in 2005 when the pair were covering the Michael Jackson sexual abuse trial, Mark for BBC and Savanah for CourtTV. Later that same year, in December, the couple tied the knot. They lasted a solid four years, divorcing in 2009, and though the split was logistically easy—they shared no children—emotionally, Savannah was wrecked.
"I don't want to talk about getting divorced," she told Lewinsky on last week's podcast episode. "It was horrible and sad and it broke my heart. It took me years to recover. I'm not blaming anyone but I don't really want to get into it."

Savannah Remarries
In February 2025, Savannah briefly touched on her fears following her divorce, explaining that she was "disappointed" she was married for just four years and she thought she felt like she lost her chance at becoming and mom and having a family. "I was pretty sure that I had lost my opportunity [to have kids] and more or less ruined my life," she said in an interview with Us Weekly.
Luckily, Guthrie found love again in 2014 with Michael Feldman, TKTK. The pair met in 2008, started dating shortly after Savannah's divorce in 2009, and got married in 2014. They welcomed their daughter Vale, who is now 10, that same year, and their son, Charley, in 2016.
