Fans of the iconic duo ‘Jelena’, have been mourning the loss of a childhood love for quite some time now. It’s officially over… as Justine Bieber wed supermodel Hailey Baldwin (now Hailey Bieber), back in September of 2019. So when all of this was going on, what was Selena Gomez doing?
Needing a girl-squad support system the day of your ex’s wedding is not only necessary but highly encouraged. And, that’s what Gomez did! From her 2019 recap on Instagram Stories, Gomez let her fans in on different snapshots throughout her year. On the day of September 30th (Bieber’s wedding), Gomez is found enjoying the company of friends. Laughing, full of energy, and surrounded by those she loves – if you ask us, that sounds like the ultimate remedy for a broken heart.
Heartache can do one of two things, break you down or pick you up. Gomez has gone through her fair share of life hurdles (from being diagnosed with Lupus, and undergoing a kidney transplant), that she was able to pick herself up and embraced the creativity a broken heart can fuel. Through that hardship she created authentic, new music. Just today (at Midnight), Gomez pushed live her new album “Rare”, and fans are already loving it.
While she mentioned in countless radio show interviews (back when releasing both “Lose You To Love Me”, and “Look At Her Now”), that the rest of the album is not focused on ‘that love'(mentioning her and Bieber’s relationship), we’re still going to be investigating each lyric to discover its true meaning.
