Turns out you don’t have to wait ’til it’s green outside to enjoy a green milkshake! The fan-favorite Shamrock Shake is back early at McDonald’s this year.
We look forward to a few things every Spring: warm weather, blossoming flowers, and, of course, a delicious Shamrock Shake. And although this minty, St. Patrick’s day-themed milkshake typically doesn’t grace the McDonald’s menu until later in February, it seems that the leprechauns have given us an early gift this year. Shamrock Shake is back at McDonald's
Guess the groundhog was right—Spring really is coming early this year. As of Monday, February 5, mint lovers can get their fix at McDonald's for a limited time. The Shamrock Shake has returned to the menu two weeks earlier than it did in 2023.
If you're not familiar with the Shamrock Shake, you're in for a real treat. It combines creamy vanilla soft serve with mint syrup, and it's all topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. Plus, it's green.
In addition to this cult classic, there's also a treat for all the McFlurry lovers out there: the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry. This is a minty twist on the Oreo McFlurry we all know and love; it combines bits of Oreo cookies with a green minty syrup for the ultimate spring sweet treat.
In a market dominated by pumpkin spice in the fall, holiday treats in the winter, and heart-shaped everything every February, we always love to see a green menu item for the lesser appreciated St. Patrick's Day.
