Sharon Osbourne just confessed that she doesn’t want to return to daytime TV again, as cancel culture has made it an unsafe place to be.
After her controversial exit from “The Talk” earlier this year, the 68-year-old Osbournes matriarch said that she doesn’t want to return to daytime TV ever again, due to the dangers associated with cancel culture.
“I’m not going to go another TV show that’s talk because I know right now, it’s not a safe place to be,” Osbourne says, in a preview for the upcoming Season 5 premiere of “DailyMailTV.” “Because the slightest thing, the slightest word and you’ve p****d off half the nation. I don’t want to put myself up for that grief, I really don’t.”
To recap, the Emmy Award-winning TV personality stepped down from “The Talk” following a controversial episode on March 10 that led the network to say, “did not align with our values for a respectful workplace.” In the now infamous episode, Osbourne said that she felt “under siege” for defending her friend, 56-year-old British journalist and former “Good Morning Britain” co-host Piers Morgan, after he said he “didn’t believe a word” Meghan Markle said in the bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview with Harry and Meghan.
Morgan’s comments about the Oprah interview sparked an investigation following many viewer complaints, as they had allegedly racist undertones. The backlash is what prompted Morgan to leave his co-hosting job at “Good Morning Britain”. While defending her friend on “The Talk,” Osbourne said: “I feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is a racist and that makes me a racist.” The next day, the former MTV reality star apologized on Twitter “to anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said.”

"The Talk" went on hiatus while CBS conducted an internal review of Osbourne's heated exchange with Sheryl Underwood. CBS announced the departure of Osbourne on March 26, confirming in a statement that she, the last remaining original co-host, "decided to leave The Talk" following the recent events.
The statement continued: "The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home. As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon's behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace."
Osbourne has since been replaced by Jerry O’Connell, making him the show's first permanent male co-host. Osbourne's fellow co-hosts, Carrie Ann Inaba and Elaine Welteroth, also announced they wouldn’t return for season 12 of “The Talk,” which premiered on Monday.
