Queen Elizabeth II passed away three years ago this week, and to mark the occasion, Prince Harry paid a special tribute to his grandmother. The Duke of Sussex had traveled to the UK for the annual WellChild Awards, and as the timing lined up, he visited St. George’s Chapel, where Queen Elizabeth had been laid to rest, and paid his respects privately with a wreath of flowers.
Where fans take issue with this, though, is that a spokesperson for Prince Harry confirmed this information to People magazine. Keep reading for more information.
Prince Harry Visits Queen Elizabeth's Burial Site
St. George's Chapel, which is also where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married, is the final resting place for Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Phillip. Prince Harry visited the church in his spare time between charity events, laying a sweet floral arrangement down for his late grandmother and privately paying his respects.
Which would've been all well in good, if he didn't get the press involved. The press, which he and his wife so vehemently abhor, appeared to be one of the first calls his representative made, reporting on Prince Harry's "private" tribute to Queen Elizabeth.
A separate source revealed that Prince Harry is in high spirits. "He's in a really good headspace and looking forward to seeing everyone from his charities and the causes he cares about," the source explained.

Social Media Reactions
Online trolls didn't buy it. Across Instagram and Twitter, now X, they called out the Prince, 40, for getting the media involved in what he claimed was a private moment. "Unbelievable that this came out," one person said. "Whereas other family members have done this privately with no media breakout."
"And his spokesperson had to tell people magazine?" questioned another.
"And leaked it to the media," said a third. "He's a private citizen who is not required to tell the public anything. Never misses an opportunity to exploit for publicity."
"He should be ashamed of himself," agreed another.
"Good to see that he's not courting the press," one person said sarcastically. "And respecting his own request for privacy!"
"Did he have a Netflix crew trailing after him? a final user asked. "Or a ghost writer jotting down little notes on what he was 'feeling'? I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him, and the Royal Family clearly don't!"
