The Modern Family star wore a custom pastel pink strapless mermaid gown by Laura Basci for the ceremony. The sparkling dress featured shimmering sequins, lace embroidery, a sweetheart-inspired neckline and a subtle train.

The 54-year-old kept the rest of her beauty look classic, wearing her signature long brunette hair in voluminous, layered waves with a center part. She completed the glam with polished makeup that complemented the soft pink gown.
Rather than making a traditional red-carpet entrance, Vergara made a surprise appearance onstage to present the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

The Griselda actress has previously explained that tailoring plays a major role in her fashion choices. During a 2013 interview with Vogue, she said, “The key for my body is tailoring,” adding, “I spend more money on tweaking and fixing the clothes than the actual clothes.”
At the time, Vergara also opened up about the extensive alterations required to make red-carpet gowns work for her figure.
“There are many designers that I cannot even fit,” she said. “All the dresses that I wear for the red carpet, I have to build them inside.”
“I mean, a normal girl will just put the dress on and leave. I need them to be like an armory,” she continued. “My dresses are like a work of art inside because, you know, I am 40 years old, I had a baby.”
