Embracing your curves can mean accentuating them with waist-cinching, leg-lengthening, slimming outfit tricks. Look and feel your best in any outfit with these simple, yet unexpected, style tricks that insiders swear by:

Wear pointed-toe shoes. “Don’t forget about the power not only of heels, but of the pointed toe pump,” style vlogger Erin Busbee says. “The pointed toe, the shape of that toe, creates the illusion of more length, taller, longer, slimmer,” she explains.

Go matchy-matchy. It can be any color, really. “The beautiful thing is any color from head to toe is going to be elongating and slimming,” Busbee says.

Wear a long necklace. Accessories can make a difference, too. “The long necklace, the pendant necklace, has the power to elongate. It’s a really simple, easy to just add some length to your body and add that slimming effect,” Busbee reveals.

Wear V-necks. Like a long necklace, the V-neckline on shirts and dresses is elongating and slimming.

Belt it. This draws the eye to and accentuates the smallest part of your body, your waist.

Invest in good shapewear. “Choose a seamless pair of slenderizing briefs, boy shorts, camis, or full-body pieces that have reinforced panels to pull in your stomach, slim your thighs, boost your derriere, and define your waist,” style writer Perrie Samotin advises.
