Sydney Sweeney Poses In Lingerie For A Backyard Photoshoot On Instagram
The 27-year-old is famous for participating in at-home or low-budget photoshoots where she puts on some stylish looks and poses for her photographer friends. Aside from the professional photoshoots she does for magazines and fashion campaigns, she likes to flaunt her beauty and chic wardrobe with some cool pictures for her social media accounts.
On July 1st, she shared numerous photos from a shoot she seemingly had in a backyard while wearing a tiny lingerie set. The set consisted of a micro mini nightgown made from a light, slightly sheer white material. The top had a lacy neckline, and the tiny gown included a cinched waist with more lace on the bottom.
The newly single actress rocked a very subtle, almost 'no make-up' look, and left her dirty blonde hair down and a little messy. She was lying out on some grass, relaxing her long, thin limbs and posing near a lawn sprinkler, which many believe was a reference to a scene in the 1997 film adaptation of Lolita, an extremely controversial novel.

Fans Slam Sydney For Promoting A 'Lolita' Aesthetic In Her New Photos
Lolita is a notoriously scandalous novel that centers around a middle-aged professor having an intimate relationship with his young stepdaughter. In the film adaptation, the young stepdaughter can be seen reading a book on a lawn near a lawn sprinkler, which the internet believes inspired Sydney's new Instagram photos.
Although she didn't acknowledge the similarity between her pictures and the controversial film, the internet put two and two together and flooded her comments section with some critiques.
One Instagram user asked, "Is this not another Lolita-inspired photoshoot?"
Another was outwardly angry with the actress, writing, "You just keep going lower and lower."
"Casually aestheticizing child exploitation and thinking it's cute is vile," wrote an angry user, as another added it was "gross" that the photoshoot was clearly inspired by the film.
"I swear y'all do problematic things strictly for attention at this point," wrote a follower.
"Why are we taking inspiration from Lolita? It's gross."
The Euphoria star has yet to address the backlash surrounding her photoshoot, and her silence has us assuming she didn't want anyone to think she was referencing the movie, but it is still bothering Instagram users to this day.
